Pottery Classes during the Tasmanian Craft Fair
During the Deloraine Craft Fair, Deloraine Creative Studios Pottery Hub (near Gallery C bus stop) will offer a variety of ceramic experiences that will immerse you in the wonderful art of clay. There are 3 different ceramic taster’s classes that you can choose from: Pinch Pot and Paint, Slab Spoon rest and a Wheel Throwing Taster.
Each activity will run each day during a designated 2-hour block. All classes will be 30 minutes and there will be four classes in each block. All classes will start on every hour and every half hour e.g., 11am and 11:30 am. You do not need to book in for any of the hand building classes, just turn up 5-10 minutes before your desired class to pay the class fee and to be ready to begin at the designated time. All classes cost $25.
The firing process will take around 4-5 weeks. You will be contacted when your piece is ready for collection.

This class is all about making beautifully handcrafted pinch pot bowl that you will be able to decorate with your own unique design.

Slab Spoon rest
This unique class will allow you to create your own personalised spoon rest which you will be able to decorate with a one-of-a-kind design.

Wheel Throwing Taster
Have you ever wanted to try making a bowl on a wheel? The taster class gives you the chance to experience the thrill and fun of the wheel. You will be guided step by step by our experienced tutor through the process of making your very own bowl.
